I served in Turkish Armed Forces as an Infantry Corporal for several years before I immigrated to Canada. I love serving my new community and becoming a Volunteer Firefighter was the ultimate opportunity for this.
I believe that learning new skills, training, having new friends and fellow firefighters and serving the community are the major factors which makes being a member of Truro Fire Brigade a privilege.
I am a fitness enthusiastic and take part in every annual Terry Fox marathon. I work in corporate security field and I am a self defense instructor. I am bilingual and hold dual citizenship with Canada and Turkey.
Being in the firefighter family makes me feel that I am with individuals who value friendship, integrity and courage which are the core values when it comes to serving your community.
Over the years, I have completed medical first responder, hazmat awareness and firefighter level 1 training and earned my black helmet.
