I was born and raised in Hubbards Nova Scotia. I have been coming to Truro since I was a child as both my parents are from this area with family still living here and found my way here and put down roots in Truro 10 years ago now.

I have been a member of the TVFB for 5 years plus now which is really special to me as I’m the third generation Layton to be part of the TVFB as both my great grandfather Fred S. Layton and Grandfather Doug E. Layton are past members!! Also my father is a captain with HRM fire so firefighting is in my blood.
