I grew up in Quispamsis, New Brunswick. This little town was great to grow up in as it was close to the water and had lots to do. 

I am married to my beautiful wife Megan who is a healthcare worker at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre. We also have a dog named Lily who enjoys long walks.  

I am a Public Affairs Officer with the Government of Canada. I love my job because it allows me to tell stories for a living. I am fluently bilingual and have a lot of experience in crisis / emergency communications.     

I love helping people and giving back to my community. There is nothing better than the feeling of helping someone in their time of need.          

I enjoy reading, walking my dog, and spending time with my family. 

Being a part of the fire service makes me feel like i am a part of the community. Having moved here in the last 5 years, the fire service has allowed me to form friendships and do something to better my community. 

My advice to newbies- Slow down. Even in the most stressful situations, take a moment to become aware of your surroundings and examine the situation.
