I grew up in the east end of Truro, NS. I am married and the father of three children. My oldest daughter is 15 my son is 10 and youngest daughter is 6 years old.

I am a level 1 trained firefighter, with many different training achievements. I am also a medical first response. (MFR). I work for Purolator during the days.

I really wanted to be a firefighter so that I could help the people in my community. I have always wanted to be a firefighter since I was young. It just took me a long time to get there.

In my spare time which is very scarce, I like to do yard work and my favourite summer activity which is camping.

Being a firefighter is more than just running into burning buildings it is also a great way to meet new people and build a lifetime friendship and family.

My advice to newbies - Become the firefighter you want to become, not who others want you to be. If you do that and give it your best you will be great and never say you cannot do it when it comes to training etc. Just push yourself forward.
