As part of our commitment to keep everyone safe, the Truro Fire Service/ Truro Volunteer Fire Brigade is requesting that a "Sign In Sheet" be completed by any group using the Community Room of the Fire Station.
The sheet is located as you enter the Promenade Entrance of the fire hall. Fire Service members will keep the sheets on file should Public Health require them. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we navigate these challenging times together.
Subject : WALK IN OUR BOOTS 2020 - CANCELLED
Due to the ongoing restrictions related to Covid-19 and the likelihood that any "new normal" will include many of the social distancing protocols and gathering restrictions we currently face, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Truro Fire's 2020 Walk In Our Boots event.
Walk In Our Boots has become the signature event for promoting the The Truro Volunteer Fire Brigade and the Truro Fire Service for over 10 years and while my support for the event and everything it stands for has not wavered, we could not move forward with such an event in good conscience based on current health protocols. Should circumstances change between now and late summer we will re-visit our options, but only time and Covid-19 procedures will tell us for sure.
On behalf of our membership and the Walk In Our Boots Organizing Committee, I want to thank the citizens and businesses of Truro and surrounding area for all your support over the last 10 years.

**TRURO FIRE STATION - PUBLIC ACCESS RESTRICTIONS** EFFECTIVE MARCH 15, 2020 11:59pm
As part of our efforts to combat the Covid-19 (coronavirus) outbreak, please be advised that the Truro Fire Station will be closed to all public access as of 11:59 pm, Sunday March 15, 2020 until further notice.
This does NOT effect any Emergency Response. If you require emergency services, please call 911. We are working very closely with our Chief Officer's and Town of Truro Officials to ensure uninterrupted emergency response.
** COMMUNITY ROOM RENTAL BOOKINGS **
If you have a pre-booked rental for the community room you will be contacted by our rental coordinator David Williams if the need to cancel your booking becomes necessary. We are not cancelling all bookings at this time, so please wait to be contacted. If you choose to cancel your own booking, we understand. Any deposits will be fully refunded. Simply contact David to let him know.
